Evart Middle School students challenged at Geography Bee
EVART — Evart Middle School’s geography bee was full of several tense moments.
On Jan. 31, the school’s top geography whizzes faced off against each other through a variety of questions about the United States and the world in the National Geographic Society’s Geography Bee.
Eighth-grader Danny Witbeck was crowned school winner. According to Principal Jason O’Dell, Danny will take another test to see if he qualifies for the state Geography Bee.
Sponsored by the National Geographic Society, competition is aimed inspire and raise students’ curiosity about the world around them.
