Evart High School says good luck to class of 70 graduates
EVART — About 70 seniors at Evart High School celebrated their graduation day with family, friends and loved ones while looking to the future on Sunday.
Dressed in blue caps and gowns, the students received their diplomas and recapped memories of times gone by. Valedictorians Nicole Bullock and Amanda Farrell and salutatorian Taylor McLachlan spoke to their fellow classmates about the years spent in the halls of the school and pressing on toward greater goals.
Commencement guest speaker Marookeh Nahikian is a former graduate of EHS and is an international design engineer and entrepreneur who has worked with Virgin Airlines, and Jet Blue. He is currently working on the Sept. 11 museum in New York City.
He discussed how the accomplishment met by the seniors represents their drive to succeed and told them not to discount their opinions, as their instincts have helped them already progress.
“Life is what you make it. If you have someone doubting you, prove them wrong,” Nahikian said.
