EVART — Evart Chamber of Commerce members met recently to elect a new board of officers.

The Chamber executive board has been functioning long and hard to continue and expand its mission promoting Evart businesses, encouraging business growth, and being a cheerleader for all things Evart.

In their mission statement it is noted:

“The Evart Area Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary network dedicated to promoting the quality of life through economic, educational and cultural development of Evart and Osceola County.

“It has always been our mission to support and encourage business opportunities, development and retention in Evart and the surrounding area.

Chamber members meet the second Wednesday of the month with the location and program being announced prior to the meet gathering.

Officers this year include both new and familiar faces.

Vice president Connie Douglas has  moved into the president’s chair.

Dave VanOrder, plant manager at Dean’s Food-Liberty Dairy will start as  vice president. At the secretary’s desk is Jan Booher, Details Salon; and treasurer, is Chad Booher from the Evart branch of Chemical Bank.

The list was approved and unanimously accepted by voting members attending the session.
