Crossroads festival returns to Reed City

Parade, reunions carnival and car show among the events

REED CITY — The Great American Crossroads Celebration returns to Reed City after being canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, bringing all the events and family fun the annual festival is known for.

The festival kicks off at 6 p.m. Thursday evening with the third annual GACC Pet Show at Rambadt Park. The event is open to all ages and all pets, with the $5 entrance fee going to the Osceola County Animal Shelter.

Kids can get ready for Friday evening's Hometown Parade by decorating their bikes at Reed City High School beforehand. Decorations and supplies will be on hand at 5:30 p.m. with the parade beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Lineup starts at 5:45 pm at the Reed City Middle School parking lot. From there, the parade heads north on Higbee to Osceola, east to Chestnut, north to Upton, and wraps around to end at the depot.

Other events include the 16th annual GACC Car Show; children's carnival; softball, kickball and cornhole tournaments; multiple RCAPS class reunions; and a visit from Santa Michael.

Wrap up the weekend at 6 p.m. Sunday with Praise in the Park at Rambadt Park, hosted by Liberty Baptist Church.
