Crossroads car show a big success

Proceeds help fund Veterans Memorial Park

REED CITY – The Crossroads Car Club annual car show was a big success as crowds were on hand to enjoy the cars, the food and the weather this weekend at the Scout Building in Reed City.

“We had another great turnout for our second annual car show,” said coordinator Russ Nehmer. “The scouts did concessions and the music was superb. Sunshine all day.”

The following car owners were the big winners of the day:

• 2021 Mayor’s Choice and People’s Choice Trophies went to Kelly Welling for his 1956 Chevy Cameo Pick up

• 2021 Veteran’s Choice trophy went to Jack Ward for his 1967 Ford Mustang

• 2021 Most like to get pulled over trophy went to Kris Rusch for his 2012 Ford Focus

• 2021 Kid’s Choice trophy went to Rick Wiers for his 1941 Ford Pick-up

• 2021 Best make & model trophy went to Eli Bromley for the Ebels General Store 1953 Chevy Pick-up

“We would like to thank all of our awesome car participants and our great area business owners for coming together to sponsor this year to help us raise money toward building a Veterans Memorial Park for this town and this county,” Nehmer said. "It takes a great deal of effort to plan and execute a car show and it requires the effort of many people to put it together. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that has played a part in making this years Veterans Memorial Park Car Show a great success."

All proceeds from the event will go to support the Veterans Memorial Park.
