Crews respond to fire at Palmer’s Outdoor Power Equipment

BUSINESS FIRE: Crews from the Reed City Fire Department and two other departments were on scene to put out a fire at Palmer’s Outdoor Power Equipment Tuesday evening. After two hours, crews were able to put out the fire, which destroyed much of the equipment in the maintenance room in the back of the structure. The fire did not spread to the show room, where most of the business’ inventory is kept. Reed City Fire Chief Jim Decker estimates there is more than $100,000 worth of damage. Osceola County Emergency Management and the Michigan State Police also responded to the fire. (Herald Review photo/Dan Meloy)
