Cookout event to help send kids to camp

REED CITY — A cookout at Vic’s Supermarket in Reed City will help send kids to summer camp through a partnership with the Salvation Army.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, Vic’s “Summer Giveback Cookout” will offer barbecue ribs and hot dogs, along with baked beans, corn on the cob, chips and beverages to the public. Seating will be available. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Salvation Army’s Summer Camp Program.

The Salvation Army Summer Camp Program provides summer camps for local youth and teens, ensuring more kids get to experience summer camp, create lasting memories and develop new skills.
