Conservation District seeks board candidates
REED CITY — The Osceola-Lake and Mecosta Conservation Districts are seeking candidates who wish to serve on the Conservation District Board of Directors for a four-year term. There are two (2) director positions open in each Conservation District. To serve on the Osceola-Lake Conservation District Board candidates must be a resident of Osceola County or the East Half of Lake County. To serve on the Mecosta Conservation District Board candidates must be a resident of Mecosta County.
Interested candidates must submit a petition which is signed by at least five (5) residents of the District. A resident is an individual of legal age who lives in the District and can verify this by one (1) piece of identification. Nominating petitions are available at either Conservation District office. The deadline for nominating petitions is Monday, August 1, 4 p.m. Election results will be announced at the Districts Annual Meeting which will be held on Friday, September 30, at the Paris Park Fish Hatchery.
