Conservation District Board seeks candidates

REED CITY — Two positions on the Osceola-Lake Conservation District board will be open for election this fall, and nominations are currently being accepted for the seats.

Both positions on the board are four-year terms. Interested candidates must file a petition 60 days prior to the district’s annual meeting, which is scheduled for Sept. 30.

Nominating petitions are available in the district office located at 138 W. Upton Ave, Suite 2, in Reed City or call (231) 832-2950 ext. 5 to have one mailed. The petition must be signed by at least five residents of the district. Candidates must be of legal age, a resident of the district — Osceola County or the east half of Lake County — and can demonstrate this by one piece of identification.

The Osceola-Lake Conservation District will accept petitions to run for district director until the close of business on Monday, July 25.
