Evart continues to bring a variety of groups and individuals into the area with all sorts of musical talents, and one playing Thursday evening certainly is no exception.

Conga Se Menne (Finnish Reggae) will be the beat to hear at Evart’s Downtown Summer Musicale on June 23 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The group will be offering the audience a large variety of musical potpourri, going right down the alphabet with the likes of blues, the Caribbean beat, Finnish, funk Latin, Reggae and rock.

A nice dose for most.

Promos are fun to read, tossing out such descriptions as “island beat percussion,” “mellifluous keyboards,” “sonorous horns” and “big , shouldered guitar work” for this particular group.

Toss in “an influence of traditional styles,” if you will, and it sounds as though it should be a fun-filled and entertaining evening right there in downtown Evart.
