Community invited to hear distracted driving speaker
REED CITY — To encourage students to make good driving decisions through her own tragic experiences, Bonnie Raffaele, from Sault Ste Marie, will address Reed City students and community members on Monday.
Bonnie is the founder of the KDR (Kids Driving Responsibly) Challenge. She is also a board member of Focus Driven, a national organization that strives to promote safe driving.
Bonnie has been a guest speaker at or is endorsed by numerous state and national events, including Michigan State Senate Committee on Energy and Technology, Michigan State House Transportation Committee, National Safety Council, Michigan State House of Representatives, Brain and Injury Association of Michigan, Traffic Improvement Association of Michigan and Michigan Municipal League.
An assembly will take place at Reed City High School from 8:30 to 10 a.m. The event will be split into two different sessions: one addressing middle school students, and the other addressing high school students.
All parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters and concerned citizens are invited to attend either session of this life-changing event.
