Clowning around at The Depot

EVART - There’s going to be a lot of clowning around at Evart’s historic Depot come Wednesday, Aug. 10.

Carlee and Charlie the clowns will be visiting Evart to offer a performance at 10 a.m.

The two clowns are traveling with the Kelly Miller Circus and decided to come to town a couple days before the Big Top arrives.

The will be offering a 30-minute show on the stage that usually is home to the Summer Musicale program. Bring lawn chairs and have a good time with these two talented entertainers.

Carlee and Charlie have been entertaining Sarasota, Florida and the surrounding communities since 1995.

Sherri Shepard, a.k.a. Carlee, has over 25 years experience working in the early childhood education field. Carlee’s Toy Box Show was originally designed for the day care setting, and is perfect for a younger audience. Sherri uses her experience as a summer camp coordinator when she brings the Fun-Filled Field Day Show to summer camps, scouts and other larger groups such as family reunions and picnics.

Dave Shepard, a.k.a. Charlie, combines his Comedy Magic Show with juggling and balloon art, and keeps everyone laughing with his silly antics. Dave donates his time and talents each year at the Suncoast Offshore Grand Prix Fishing Tournament for the handicapped, and has conducted clown workshops for many scout and youth organizations.

Dave and Sherri co-founded Circus City Clowns, a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit dedicated to the advancement and promotion of the clown arts.

The show in Evart promises to be a great time for kids of all ages.
