City purchases new mower for DPW

REED CITY — Members of the Reed City Council approved a motion to allow the $8,000 purchase of a new zero-point turn mower for the Department of Public Works at a meeting on Monday.

After receiving bids for the machine from local businesses, the city's motion approved the purchase from Palmer's Outdoor Equipment in Reed City.

In other business, the council decided to hold off on a motion to extend the Reed City Area Chamber of Commerce lease at the depot for three years at $1,200 per year.
