REED CITY — Summer is beginning and it's time to dust off the golf clubs and practice putting to prepare for the annual Reed City Chamber Golf Scramble, which will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 6, at Spring Valley Golf Course.

"We look forward every year to our annual golf outing," said Reed City Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Suzie Williams. "To be outside in the fresh air enjoying the day on the golf course is amazing."

The cost to participate is $65 per player or $260 per team, and includes 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, lunch at The Turn and a dinner opportunity. Businesses, organizations and the public are welcome to join the excitement on the green.

"Everyone has so much fun. We always have great prizes and raffles, plus fun things happening on the course that make it just an enjoyable day out of the office," Williams said. "It’s an opportunity to get out, network and meet new people and contacts for future business needs."

This year's theme is sports, and participants are encouraged to wear clothing and accessories displaying their favorite team or athlete. The best dressed team will win a prize.

Registration must be complete by Friday, May 30. In the event of rain, the scramble will be rescheduled for Friday, June 13. For more information or to sign up for the event, call the Chamber office at (231) 832-5431.
