EVART — “New Beginnings: Discovering Value in the Body of Christ” is the theme of Ladies Day Out, a special event from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, at Calvary Baptist Church in Evart.
Highlights of the women’s retreat include the drama ministry of keynote speaker Peg Arnold from Wonder of Women Ministry.
Arnold’s message is presented in a unique and entertaining dramatic and musical format featuring different characters in costume.
Developed over a period of 15 years, Arnold’s ministry includes articles in “Devotions for the Distracted Heart” and an inspirational story in “Chicken Soup for the Soul.”
Also on the program is guest musician Jennifer Covey. Covey is a Christian songwriter and pianist who will share her testimony of faith woven into music.
Church member Carrie Nageotti will lead the retreat devotions.
All attendees have a chance to win a raffle. The prize is a handcrafted quilt designed and stitched by members of the church Dorcas Circle.
“Everyone who attends our retreat will receive a memento of the occasion to take home,” said event coordinator and church member Christine Seering. “We hope many women will take time out of their busy lives for a day of worship and enjoy the unusual drama ministry and special music that will be a blessing in their lives.”
