Cadillac man charged with home invasion in LeRoy Township

REED CITY  — A Cadillac man was arraigned on Tuesday in Osceola County's 77th District Court on six charges stemming from a Saturday home invasion.

Robert Allan Blackburn, 30, is charged with one count of first-degree home invasion, one count of malicious destruction of property between $1,000 and $20,000, one count of malicious destruction of property between $200 and $1,000, one count of domestic violence and two counts of assault and battery.

The home invasion and subsequent other charges stem from an incident on April 4 in LeRoy Township, according to court documents.

First-degree home invasion is a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. Malicious destruction of property between $1,000 and $20,000 also is a felony, and carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.

Bond for Blackburn is set at $40,000. A preliminary examination for Blackburn is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, in Osceola County's 77th District Court.
