COA offering 'Matter of Balance' program

REED CITY — The Osceola County Commission on Aging is offering a free program called “A Matter of Balance," to provide seniors with practical strategies to manage falls.

Participants will learn to view falls as controllable, set goals for increasing activity, make changes to reduce fall risks at home and exercise to increase strength and balance. “A Matter of Balance” consists of eight two-hour sessions.

These sessions will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. beginning Thursday, June 6, and conclude on Thursday, Aug. 24, at the United Methodist Church, 503 Chestnut St., Reed City.
