OSCEOLA COUNTY -- Evart and Reed City farmers' markets opened this past weekend. Efforts were made to maintain social distancing with vendors spaced out accordingly and marks on the ground to indicate three feet of distance. Masks, gloves and hand sanitizer were made available, as well.

Although the vendors were a little light on opening weekend, organizers said more can be expected as the summer progresses with additional fresh produce as it comes into season, farm fresh meat and eggs and other handmade items.

Evart Farmers Market is located next to the Depot in downtown Evart at 200 S. Main St. It is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., every Saturday through Oct. 12.

Reed City Farmers Market is located in the Pompeii's Pizza parking lot at 113 S. Chestnut St. It is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., every Saturday through October.
