Annual native plant sale set for Friday

BIG RAPIDS — The Osceola-Lake and Mecosta Conservation Districts will conduct their annual native plant sale from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 3, at Osceola Park in Big Rapids.

A variety of native wildflowers will be available for sale. Osceola Park is located in Big Rapids off State Street. Turn east at Grunst Party Store on East Bridge Street, and then turn right onto Osceola Avenue.

This year the conservation districts will provide maps for self-guided tours of native plantings and rain gardens in the Big Rapids area starting with the rain garden located at Osceola Park along the Riverwalk. This rain garden was established in 2006 by the Big Rapids Garden Club.
