EVART \u2014 Couples, singles and families looking for a Valentine's Day activity close to home have the opportunity to dance the night away during the eighth annual Sweetheart Dance, hosted by the Evart General Federation of Women's Club. The event will take place from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, in the community building at the Osceola County 4-H FFA Fairgrounds in Evart. "It's for families, and we have all ages there," said Evart GFWC member Ruth Ann Northon. "It's a good, safe place to go. We walk through and make sure everyone is having a good time." Attendees also will have the chance to win about 20 gift baskets from a raffle drawing, with themes including chocolate, pets, movies and more. "When people come into the dance, we give them a ticket and they can put the ticket into a bowl in front of the basket they want," Northon added. "They also can purchase additional tickets for a better chance to win the basket they want." Music will be provided by Lance Rynearson, a DJ from Rhythm Management, who will play a variety of music to suit all tastes.\u00a0In addition, beverages and a number of sweet treats will be available.
