MARION — Life on the farm can teach you a lot about faith.

Marion Baptist Church is using those lessons to guide its upcoming vacation Bible school, “Cow-a-bunga Farm: Growing with Our Faithful God.”

The program will run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 12.

Throughout the week, area children entering kindergarten to sixth grade, will get to experience life on the farm as they learn about God’s faithfulness revealed in the life of Joseph, whose brothers sold him into slavery.

There will be daily puppet shows, songs, crafts, games, missions moments and snacks. Memorizing Bible verses and daily attendance will garner children special prizes.

“We’re thrilled to bring ‘Cow-a-bunga Farm’ to the children of the Marion area,” said Peggy Hoard, program coordinator. “Our passion is working with children and it’s a joy to bring the program to the community.”

Marion Baptist Church, located at 19909 40th Ave., in Marion, will provide transportation for area children who need a ride.
