Trinity students present Christmas programs

REED CITY — The kindergarten and preschool classes at Trinity Lutheran School in Reed City presented their Christmas program on Dec. 6. The children shared the Christmas story through memorized verses and beautiful Christmas songs.

After their performance, the children celebrated with their families and friends the birth of baby Jesus with a "Happy Birthday Jesus" cake and punch.

Also, on Dec. 14, the children in first through fourth grades presented their Christmas program, “It All Happened in the Country.” The children spoke with a southern drawl and sang toe-tapping songs to tell the story of two city children having to spend Christmas Eve in a small country town because their car broke down.

The city children learn how the country folk enjoy hearing about the birth of Jesus on that first Christmas morning. Eventually they begin enjoying themselves and are not sure they want to leave the country setting right away.
