Spaghetti dinner benefits Evart students

EVART — Four Evart Middle School students involved in the school's Business Professionals of America  chapter are hoping to raise enough money to attend the national competition in Boston, which takes place in early May.

Selena Hyden, Logan Hebert, Austin Rueffer and Sara Keilman qualified for nationals after the state competition in Grand Rapids. A spaghetti benefit dinner and dance has been slated for Saturday, April 16, and all money raised will go toward travel and hotel costs.

The event will take place from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the community building at the Osceola County 4-H FFA Fairgrounds. In addition to the main course, the dinner will include garlic toast, coleslaw, sheet cake and a beverage.

The dance will take place after dinner from 6 to 9 p.m., featuring music by Sound Incorporated Mobile DJ.

Tickets in advance, which can be purchased at Affordable Prints, are $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and younger. At the door, tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. For those who want to only attend the dance, tickets are $4.
