LEROY — To celebrate the new school year and first varsity football game of the season, Pine River Area School is hosting a variety of fun activities for the entire family.

The district begins classes on Tuesday, Sept. 8, but students and parents will have the opportunity to visit the schools before students dive into learning. Attendees will receive a free ticket to the game against Mancelona, as well as a free hot dog or bratwurst. Kickoff will take place at 7 p.m.
