There are many times I hear people talk of retirement. They plan for it. They save for it. They look forward to it. They can’t wait for it to come.
The word “retire” means “to withdraw.” For most of us, it means to withdraw from one’s position or occupation, but that’s not the only meaning. It may be withdrawing from the day and going to bed. It can be withdrawing from danger. It may even be used as a military term to withdraw or march away from an enemy.
