PATH workshop slated to begin in May
REED CITY — The Osceola County Commission on Aging will offer a free, six-week Diabetes PATH (Personal Action Toward Health) workshop starting Tuesday, May 10, at Meadowview Village in Reed City, located at 802 S. Mill St.
PATH is an evidence-based program created by Stanford University. Diabetes PATH is a workshop for adults with type 2 diabetes and is open to family, friends, caregivers and anyone wishing to learn more about managing diabetes.
The diabetes PATH workshop will assist participants in managing their diabetes and taking control of their health. Participants will learn ways to deal with the symptoms of diabetes, understand emotions, develop healthy eating habits and talk with health care providers about diabetes.
Seating is limited and reservations are required. The class will meet from 1 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, May 10, 17, 24, 31 and June 7 and 14. For more information or to reserve a space, call Osceola County Commission on Aging at (231) 734-5559.
