EVART — Although 2-1-1 has been established for a few years, many local residents are still unsure what the service provides.
To educate those curious residents, members of the Evart Chamber of Commerce are offering a free informational meeting on the service, featuring guest speaker Susan Howell-Kyuk, 2-1-1 Executive Director. Howell-Kyuk will discuss more about what 2-1-1 is and what it offers each community member.
2-1-1 is a free Michigan-based call center which offers information and resources for state-wide residents about local human services, such as medical help, foreclosure prevention programs, shelter or utility assistance and help with food or clothing.
The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20, in Evart High School cafeteria.
