During our lifetime we will all be faced with 'Forks In The Road;' some of those that involve traveling unfamiliar roads, thankfully we now have GPS' that helps us navigate the safest and fastest route. We will also be faced with personal decisions, or 'Forks In The Road,' that can affect every area of our lives and those dear to us. However, we have a GPS provided for us by the Holy Spirit. Along with His guidance, we have our Bibles and access to God through prayer. I can't speak for you, but I know that there have been times in my life that I should have listened more carefully to the Holy Spirits' GPS! He'll never lead us down the wrong road. Not listening has caused some real personal problems, not only for me but at times affecting those close to me. Everyday we are faced with 'Forks' in our lives, or choices, some of them involve decisions that need to be made in the spur of the moment. Our reaction may tell others around us if we are faithful in our Christian walk. Most of us are creatures of habit, waking up at a certain time, then on to our daily routines. Some 'FORKS' may be: • Making time for God • A spouse, if we are married • Children or family members • Friends • Jobs, coworkers, the list goes on We may experience other events daily that can contribute to controlling our attitudes as we face those 'Forks' that can sometimes come at inconvenient times. Running late for an appointment may cause us to exceed the speed limit and taking a chance of meeting a police officer. When feeling like telling someone how much of a pain they are, let's speak blessings over them. Do we want to buy something to impress someone else, or do we really need it? In reality we each do face several 'Forks In The Road' traveling through life, resulting in some wrong turns or words spoken out of frustrations. Let's go to the GPS that God has given us! James 1:19-20: "Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires." Blessings, may your personal 'Forks' be guided by God's Word and listening to that still small voice of the Holy Spirit!
