Ever since Adam and Eve allowed the devil to deceive them, he convinced them that God was actually keeping some of their entitlements. Satan’s deception caused them to be cast out of Eden, where they had previously been furnished with everything needed for survival.

The biggest loss was the personal relationship and their daily walks with God, Himself. They now found the realities of living outside of God’s blessings and facing the ‘uncertainties’ of a lost world, where Satan would continue in his efforts to widen the void between man and God. God, in His wisdom, sent Jesus to become a bridge over that void, offering us an opportunity to be reconnected with God.

We can, in today’s world, be overwhelmed with ‘uncertainties’ in the newspapers, radios, televisions, and then, what was a blessing at first, the internet!  It has become a great resource of information and communication connecting us with the events as they are happening throughout the world.

‘Fears’ can be created by these same social medias before our very eyes. We see the results of war and protests, which some are anything but peaceful, causing the pain of evil being inflicted on the defenseless. With the spreading of ‘fear’ an entire nation can lose its freedom, fueled by those that are interested in control.

‘Truth:’ We have a God that loves us, Jesus is our ‘Rock’ and the ‘Cornerstone’ that we can depend on even as our lives may be being turned upside down. Throughout the Bible we read that because of greed and the human desire for power over others, evil has been unleashed, sometimes so wicked it can turn our stomachs.

In the Book of Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG) Jesus tells us ...

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion (uncertainties)? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me — watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

‘Truth:’ God always delivers when we put Him first. We will, in time, see the Glory of God first hand, whether it be on this earth or when we journey to heaven. God, through Jesus, made this possible! We are to be the light shining on the hill, not hiding it under a basket.

So, through these uncertainties don’t let fears hide the truth.
