It seems like with the dawning of every new day, brings with it an opportunity for us in ‘Facing Life’ with a fresh set of eyes! We can at times wonder which way to turn, that is when it is so important to lean on the Holy Spirit! He gives us peace, discernment and the strength to stay the course.

‘Facing Life’ can sometimes leave us with eyeballs that sweat, other times it leaves us with the refreshment and joy that God provides. Our reaction will determine not only our attitude, but also those that we come in contact with.

Moses wrote in the Book of Deuteronomy 30:15-16 (The Message Bible),

“Look at what I’ve done for you today: I’ve placed in front of you Life and Good, Death and Evil. And I command you today: Love God, your God. Walk in his ways. Keep his commandments, regulations, and rules so that you will live, really live, live exuberantly, blessed by God, your God, in the land (day) you are about to enter and possess.”

With every new day that the Lord wakes us up on this side of heaven, He will help, but gives us the choices of how we will react. Throughout the Bible we see where many of the men and women faced situations where they had to choose their path for that day. God knows that we only need to live one day at a time, for only He knows the future.

‘Facing Life’  James 4:13-15 (NLT), Warning about Self-Confidence:

“Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog — it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.”

‘Facing Life!' With all of the uncertainties we are facing in today’s world, we need to stand on the Promises that God has provided for us. One of which is ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you’ then it becomes our choice, to rest in His presence or those thoughts created in our minds!

Lord, helps us to be humble!
