To the editor:

Many thanks to everyone who helped make the 2011 Habitat for Humanity St. Patrick’s Dinner a huge success. Many churches and individuals contributed hundreds of pounds of vegetables and other raw materials. A great Friday AM crew came to peel and prepare vegetables. Throughout the weekend crews converged to set tables, bake bread, etc. A tremendous group of young people waited tables, as an equally efficient group manned the kitchen. We can’t forget the brave troopers who did stacks and stacks of dishes.

Sincere thanks to St. Paul Lutheran Church for the use of their facility and to their members for bringing in many, many pots and pans to cook all the vegetables. Also, thanks to Thrivent, a Lutheran organization, for matching part of our funds.

Every year my heart sings as I watch the community come together in so many ways. God bless you all.
